During the weekend of fashion we attended the “Fashion Talk & Tips” workshop by local stylist Ali from Zhuzhed by Ali right here at the Renaissance Mall.

Ali gave some inspirational tips on how to “always be in fashion”. Some of her insightful tips included dressing up in front of a full-length mirror, building your own capsule wardrobe and getting ready with your favorite music on, because when you feel good, this will also translate through your outfit and your overall mood. We truly enjoyed this session and left inspired to go look in our own closets!

As for fashion week, we got a first glimpse at some of the latest collections of designers and brands from all over the world. One thing is certain, we saw looks for all occasions on the runway this past weekend, from sporty casual to dressy and bold. Let’s take a look at some key moments of Aruba Fashion Week.

American Eagle

American Eagle showed us how to be casual, cool and in style as they presented their latest collection. Comfort was key and they showed endless styling options for you to get inspired with your everyday look.

Jolie Jewelry Boutique

Jolie Jewelry Boutique’s show exuded femininity, edge and boldness. The looks are ideal for the upcoming holiday season and were perfectly styled with jewelry from Uno de 50 and Rebecca Gioielli among others. Their iconic Braccialini bags, each a statement piece on their own, completed the look. Jolie gave us so much

inspiration and was one of the brands that featured the most wearable pieces.

Adidas

No one does sporty chic better than Adidas! The show combined a mix of street style and sporty chic. From matching sets intones like lavender, red, and the classic white. For men, endless sneaker options and apparel that can easily be worn through your day to day.

Castañer

Castañer transported us to Spain as they paid homage to their home country during their show. Their signature espadrilles were the highlight on the runway as they were styled with looks that ranged from semi- casual to dressy, all with a touch of Spanish flair of course!

Jesus de la Garsa

Closing the weekend of fashion was Mexican designer Jesus de la Garsa whose collection “Mystic” was inspired after Alice Kyteler, known for her sophisticated and extraordinary beauty (and apparently also the oldest known witch in the world at the time).

The collection featured  metallics, shimmer, feathers and bold silhouettes, definitely for the ones wanting to make a statement!

All in all an amazing fashion week with lots of variety from all the designers and brands. We left inspired (and ready to shop!).

Speaking of shopping, be sure to visit our stores at the Renaissance Mall to shop the looks straight from the runway.
